About
SCORAI
Scorai Global
The Sustainable Consumption Research and Action Initiative (SCORAI) Global is an international knowledge network of researchers and practitioners committed to fostering a flourishing and ecologically sound society by transforming consumption patterns. Established in 2008, SCORAI emerged from discussions at the Tellus Institute, aiming to connect North American scholars and professionals who previously had limited opportunities for collaboration in this field. The inaugural workshop in 2009 at Clark University attracted participants from diverse regions, highlighting the demand for such a community. Over the years, SCORAI has expanded its reach, organizing conferences, workshops, and seminars, and publishing a series of books on sustainable consumption. The network continues to grow, facilitating interdisciplinary dialogue and action toward sustainable consumption practices worldwide
Scorai Brazil
SCORAI Brazil is a regional chapter of the global SCORAI network, dedicated to advancing research and action on sustainable consumption within the Brazilian and Latin American context. Inspired by SCORAI Global’s mission, SCORAI Brazil fosters interdisciplinary collaboration among academics, policymakers, and practitioners to address the unique social, economic, and environmental challenges of the region. Through conferences, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives, the network promotes critical discussions and innovative solutions for sustainable lifestyles, circular economy, and responsible consumption practices. By integrating global perspectives with local realities, SCORAI Brazil aims to contribute to a more just and sustainable society.
